Paradoxically, we need to pause and consider our relationship with time. Or else our avoidance will drive us to those places that inhibit our creative response.
Because time is not linear. Even though the clock disagrees, it is merely an ornament of time, not time itself.
And it is by choice that we let the shadows of yesterday fall on our being today, though they have no right to be here.
Yet, by focusing on dreams of tomorrow, we risk losing our grip on the decisions and actions of today that are crucial to our creative practice.
So, where is our creative relationship with time?
Our creative relationship with time is here, now, in this place today. It’s a dance of present moments, unburdened by our past while inspiring us towards tomorrow.
