Where we are influences what we see.
Steve has just watched three new swans land on the lake. But I can’t see this from my desk on the other side of the house.
Earlier, I walked to the top of the hillside and saw red kites circling over the valley. Yet, this would have been impossible when I was delighting in the ice crystals yesterday.
We can’t focus on both near and far simultaneously (try it by holding your hand up in front of your face). And what is around us shapes what we notice.
Where we stand is relational because we are both living and finite.
Pause. See differently. Re-story
~ This image also shows how close we are to Swansea – the bay is over the far hill.
